Drum Dance

Drum Dance Brazil

It is a pleasure to invite you to this Dance that has been held annually since 1997 at our site in Extrema, Minas Gerais (150 km from São Paulo). The Drum Dance

came in vision for Beautiful Painted Arrow - Joseph Rael; it is a dance for world peace, for personal fulfillment and insights into spiritual reality.

Over the years hundreds of men and women from different parts of the United States, South America and Europe have formed a special family dedicated to this dance. Join us dancing to the beat of the drum. This dance takes us beyond what we think is possible, beyond our self-imposed limits.

There are no words to describe what you will find; only you can make the decision to participate in a weekend that can transform your life.

The Dance begins on Friday, in silence and fasting. When we dance forward we honor future generations and when we dance backwards we honor past generations. We will dance at the beginning of the night and rest the rest of it.

The Dance will resume at sunrise on Saturday with periods alternating between dancing and resting, until early evening. The Dance will end on Sunday morning when we celebrate with a festive meal. Joseph always says that it is the Great Spirit who calls people to participate in this Drum Dance Ceremony.

If you feel attracted then you are hearing this call. In 1997, when Joseph Rael stopped leading the dances and retired to the indigenous reserve with his people, he passed the leadership of the dances to some of his students with more than six years of dancing.

This year the dance will be led by Felicity with the support and strength of Andrew, who for many years played drums at ceremonies and always helped coordinate these dances.

Attendance list and final adjustments will be made on site only between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on Friday, September 10th. There will be a Holy Sauna there on Friday afternoon for all dancers, drummers and support staff, and it is important that everyone participates in the Holy Sauna, and be there no later than 11:00 am.

Dance lives on because we keep talking about it to our families, friends and others and we encourage them to participate; the Dance may transform their lives, and it certainly keeps the life blood of the Drum Dance flowing to and nourishing Mother Earth. They don't forget friends, colleagues and relatives who might want to know the dances.

We are waiting for you.
