Sweat Lodge
The Sweat Lodge itself is a ceremony that goes beyond this definition, as it has ingredients of Healing, Renewal, Transformation and Sacrifice. The sauna is built in a circular shape. This tortoiseshell shape helps to generate positive thoughts and is conducive to directing good prayers to the Great Spirit, Mother Earth, ourselves and our fellow human beings.
Fire Ceremony
In 1984, Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow was doing a Sacred Sauna at a Sufi educational institution in Marin, California, when he had an out-of-body experience. Three men appeared and carried him over a cliff to the ocean below. Three lines appeared, where the men dove into the water. Their strength carried Joseph along with them. He remembers that as he fell, he was nothing but light.
Drum
The drum is a living, breathing entity and not just a
object. Whoever is seated at the drum is seated next to a divine space. In a ceremony the drum is the entity that connects the dancers with the Higher Mind (The Divine Presence).
Peace Chamber
The Hollow of Peace and Result of a Native American Vision Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow) from the Southern Ute and Picuris Pueblo tribes. This Chamber of Sound and Peace is used for the purpose of chanting and sacred music, mantras and meditation bringing the original vibration back into our lives.
