fire ceremony

In 1984, Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow was doing a Sacred Sauna at a Sufi educational institution in Marin, California, when he had an out-of-body experience. Three men appeared and carried him over a cliff to the ocean below. Three lines appeared, where the men dove into the water. Their strength carried Joseph along with them. He remembers that as he fell, he was nothing but light.

When he reached the bottom of the sea, he entered a corridor, like an underground tunnel, being pulled by a being that was half man with blond hair, and half fish, a green fish. A merman. Joseph then found himself in a hut full of light and without water.

In that hut there was a Being with a child's face, wrapped in a metallic blue cape. Her face was pink and exuded innocence, calm and serenity. He was seated on a shining throne studded with emeralds and diamonds. This Being placed a light in front of him that looked like a blue tear.

He communicated telepathically with Joseph. He asked him to build a fire on the 7th of April to purify the waters. Joseph understood that he was referring to physical as well as cosmic oceans. He did this in the Sound and Peace Chamber. He then gave this vision to the world so that they would do the same every 7th of each month, so they wouldn't skip April 7th. Joseph wondered if the being was Oceanus or its manifestation.

Some time later he learned that the ancient Greeks honored Oceanus on April 7th with a bonfire. In this modern world we do this Ancient Ceremony to honor the waters of the physical and cosmic worlds.

Oceanus is a metaphor for the birth of ideas and visions, so doing this ceremony each month brings new ideas and visions of a personal and global nature.

In this moment of great changes and uncertainties, exacerbated tempers, it's never too much of a ceremony. In fact, we are ceremony, how we practice makes the difference between harmony and chaos.
