BEAUTIFUL PAINTED ARROW
BEAUTIFUL PAINTED ARROW
A descendant of the Pueblos and Southern Utes, Joseph grew up among the Picuri Pueblo, speaking the Tiwa language, whose ancestors were the Anasazi. Author of several books, with a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Joseph shares his visions and insights with the world through ceremonies.
In 1993, he had the vision to build “Sound Chambers” to call for world peace. Today, more than forty “Peace Chambers” have been created in different countries through his inspiration. Recognizing the importance of dance as a ceremony, Joseph received in his visions the guidelines for Long Dance, Drum Dance and Sun-Moon Dance that are performed in many countries today. Now retired, he appointed some of his students as dance leaders, among them Tom and Kristen, and Felicity who continue to serve people, the Earth and World Peace.
DANÇANDO A LUZ
DANCING THE LIGHT
"My idea is to work with anything that generates light; that brings light to our lives, our minds, our relationships, our attitudes and our creativity.
I discovered that Joseph Rael's visionary dances and teachings, “Beautiful Painted Arrow”, had this effect on me and then I brought them to Brazil.
The work grew and expanded to include many other facets such as the “Sweat Lodge” (purification ceremony), the construction of a Peace/Sound Chamber for chanting and mantras, and the organization of events related to this work, such as the Sacred Dances. Indigenous people of Brazil.
I hope that light will always expand our creativity and bring inspiration to our lives, both in Brazil and around the world"
